The State Barbers' Health & Sanitation Board elected Raymon Green as its Secretary‑Treasurer on Dec. 30 and restructured staff roles so Antinette Maestas can function as Chief Executive Administrator while continuing to support statutory duties. Deputy Attorney General Joseph Ostunio told the board that the Department of Business and Industry interprets NRS 643.030 to cap Secretary‑Treasurer compensation at $3,600 per year.
President Toby Chavez moved to elect Green, Joseph Foley seconded the motion, and the board approved the appointment unanimously. Ostunio advised the board the post need not be a full‑time in‑office role and can serve as an oversight check on payroll and financial documents. The board directed staff to continue operations under the revised assignment structure.
