Ramsland chosen as chair; Cardenas named vice chair in La Habra Planning Commission reorganization

The La Habra Planning Commission unanimously appointed Vice Chair Ramsland as chair and Commissioner Cardenas as vice chair during a reorganization item at the start of the meeting. Planning manager Sonia Louie nominated Ramsland for chair, saying, "I nominate Commissioner Ramsland for the position of chair." The nomination was seconded and the commission voted to appoint Ramsland by unanimous voice vote.

Sonia Louie then opened nominations for vice chair and a nomination was made for Commissioner Cardenas. Cardenas accepted the nomination, responding, "I do," and the commission again voted unanimously to appoint Cardenas as vice chair. Secretary/Clerk staff announced the motions passed (the roll call and vote were recorded as unanimous). The newly elected chair, Ramsland, took over presiding duties for the remainder of the meeting.

The reorganization occurred under the planning commission's reorganization agenda item introduced by Sonia Louie. The meeting record shows Commissioner Logan Cannon was excused from the meeting; the remaining voting members approved the leadership changes by a recorded unanimous tally.
