Mayor Jeff Gore read a mayoral proclamation declaring April 13–19, 2026 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and thanked dispatchers for their emergency-response work.
The proclamation noted the communication center answers 9-1-1 calls for Huber Heights, Riverside and Butler Township and referenced call and service figures cited in the text read to council. Mayor Gore said the city “publicly salute[s] the service of the public safety dispatchers in this community and in the communities across the nation.” Council members applauded the dispatchers and recognized the center's regional role.
