Huber Heights Parks & Rec unveils full 2026 events calendar, including revamped summer music series

Parks and Recreation staff reviewed an expansive spring-through-fall events calendar for Huber Heights, saying a magnet with dates and details was mailed to residents and additional copies are available at the governance center. "This magnet did go out to everybody, this week into the homes out there at Huber Heights and in the businesses as well," the staff member said.

The calendar lists arts and beautification contests, classes such as an eight-week small-space gardening course, tree and plant giveaways, and a revamped Summer Music Series at Eichelberger Amphitheatre that begins May 29. Staff said the Summer Music Series will be on the final Fridays of each relevant month and described lineup highlights: "kicking off the series on Friday, the 29th with Jenny and the Street Walkers, and then Here I Come Again," the staff member said. Staff also described family-focused programming including Story Time in the Park, Youth Fishing Day at Rainbow Lakes, and movie nights at Thomas Cloud Park.

Star Spangled Heights will run over two days this year, with a paid carnival on Friday, July 3 and the parade and community events on Saturday, July 4. "Star Spangled Heights is a 2 day event this year," staff said, and noted the festival will return to Thomas Cloud Park near the splash pad with additional safety protocols in place. The presentation emphasized partnerships with local organizations for environmental and cultural programming and encouraged residents to register vendors or food trucks via the Parks & Rec registration process.

The Parks & Recreation staff said some events include ticketing or vendor rules and that registration pages and QR codes will be posted on the official Parks & Rec website. The presentation closed with reminders about volunteer opportunities tied to several events and a suggestion that interested residents contact staff to sign up.
