During questions, Council member Perrette Parker asked whether senior center vans were part of scheduled replacements; staff replied those vans are mechanically sound and will be replaced per the established replacement schedule. Staff committed to sharing the fleet replacement policy and said a fleet utilization study is proposed in fiscal year 2027 to evaluate needs and replacement cycles. On the sanitation ordinance amendment, staff clarified the proposed $35 fee applies per cubic yard over the 10 cubic yards included in monthly sanitation service for noncompliant brush/bulk and that the fee is enforceable by the city (not set in vendor contract).
