Administrative coordinator outlines emergency management building plans, budget draft and staffing updates

She reported that a first draft of the 2025 budget was presented to the finance committee and that the county posted a notice seeking volunteers for a Flood Mitigation Alliance. Hanan also told supervisors that health insurance rates had come back at a 5% decrease and that the Finance and General Government committee had authorized a local engineer to develop plans for the proposed Emergency Management building.
Other administrative notes included a Land Use Education workshop scheduled Oct. 2, the General Government committee meeting later that day to select finalists for the Finance Director position, a rescheduled plea and sentencing hearing for Kayla Fortney on Sept. 24, and that the 2023 audit will be finished soon. Hanan noted the upcoming County Association convention for next week.
