Vernon County Health Department briefs board on programs, grants and services
Summary

Amy Kleiber, Director of the Vernon County Health Department, briefed the board Sept. 19 on the department’s programs and funding sources.
Kleiber outlined services including Maternal and Child Health, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, Public Health Nursing, and Sanitation and Licensing Regulation. She told the board that much of the department’s funding is provided through state reimbursement grants and handed out a brochure describing available services.
Kleiber’s presentation preceded the board’s adoption of the WIC budget amendment; the Health Department explained the need for the budget adjustment after the Wisconsin Department of Health Services provided additional funding.
No additional action was taken at the meeting beyond accepting the department’s update and the budget amendment. The minutes do not provide client counts or program budgets beyond the WIC allocation adopted under Resolution 2024-43.
