County pursues TAP funding after Flexible Transportation denial for Sully Creek path

Brosz Engineering informed the commission that Billings County did not receive State Flexible Transportation funding for the planned shared-use path from Medora to Sully Creek and that the county will instead apply for a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant. Gayle Cox said the Medora-to-Sully Creek path is expected to be put out to bid in May and estimated the county—ost for construction at $636,000.
The status update prompted discussion of alternate funding sources and timing; no formal vote was required. Pat Redmond, Highway Superintendent, also reported truck deliveries and recommended amending equipment line items to finance additional equipment purchases and replacements.
