The Dickinson City Council approved a resolution and a corresponding professional services agreement with Lineberger, Goggin, Blair & Sampson LLP to provide collections and special-counsel services.
Council described the action as a renewal and scope expansion: staff said the firm already handled delinquent property tax collection and court fines and that the amended contract will add collection of delinquent PID (public improvement district) assessments. A staff member clarified the firm will be paid only from amounts it collects.
The resolution (agenda item 7b) made the required findings under Texas Government Code section 2254.01036 and the contract (7c) was authorized for execution by the mayor. The council approved both items by voice vote.
