The official identified Mike Starr as the representative for Backyard Brewing and said staff scheduled a meeting with his group and ELS representatives next week.
Turning to city finances, the official reported that sales tax collections ended the previous year down about 16% and that, "based on the information that I'm able to compile from the comptroller, I'm projecting a decline of 20.75%" for the coming year. Staff said that successful development and tenant attraction could help reverse the trend but offered no specific mitigation plan at the meeting.
