Residents press Select Board for transparency after firefighting-inspection call

During public comment, residents and board members debated whether a select board member should have contacted the fire marshal and whether that member had represented the board. Doug Wright responded that he had given his name and address during the call but "did not say I was calling on behalf of the select board."
Several residents said the episode has eroded trust and asked the board to clarify procedures and to make any executive-session outcomes public after the matter is resolved. CJ said the minutes after any executive session "should be made public so that there's transparency in town and everybody knows either the person was in the right or the person was in the right." The board agreed to discuss the matter further in executive session and follow up publicly where permitted.
