Rolette County commissioners elect Schlenvogt chair, Zaste vice-chair

At its Jan. 7 meeting the Rolette County Board of County Commissioners unanimously elected Schlenvogt as chair and Zaste as vice-chair, then proceeded to routine business including license approvals and bills.
The Rolette County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously Jan. 7 to appoint Schlenvogt as the board's new chair and Zaste as vice-chair. Commissioner Zaste moved to appoint Schlenvogt as chair, and the motion carried on a roll call vote of all members, who recorded “AYE.”
Commissioner Poitra then moved to appoint Zaste as vice-chair; that motion was seconded by Schlenvogt and also passed unanimously. The changes in leadership were taken at the start of the regular meeting, which convened at 9 a.m. with members Abrahamson, Zaste, Poitra, Schlenvogt and LaRocque present.
The leadership votes were routine and uncontested: the meeting record notes “There were no other nominations” for both positions. Following the elections, the board moved on to a set of routine agenda items including license approvals, minutes and bills. The meeting adjourned after a unanimous vote on a motion to end the session.
