Board revises committee structure; Vernon Manor trustees exempted from one-committee rule

Vernon County adopted Resolution 2024-62 to update the county committee and commission structure, roles and responsibilities. Administrative Coordinator Cassandra Hanan presented the revision, which removes the Vernon Manor Board of Trustees from the rule that a county supervisor may serve on only one elected committee because the trustees will now be primarily advisory and likely meet quarterly.
The change was adopted by voice vote after a motion by Supv Slack and second by Supv Schweiger. The update amends county practice to reflect the advisory nature and expected meeting frequency of the Vernon Manor trustees.
