State House District 115 contenders—who addressed voters after the county-council candidates—focused on infrastructure, seniors' economic security and changes to the court system. Johnny Garman described building hospice and health-access businesses and urged organizational fixes to deliver money back to Charleston County. "We don't need another committee. We don't need another study. We need to take massive action and change the way we do things from a state level here," Garman said.
Nick Eurekio, who described himself as a lifelong James Island resident and a former prosecutor, emphasized public education, conservation and flood resilience. Carl Walker, a veteran, stressed hands-on road and drainage experience and called for judicial-reform measures such as jury trials in family court and changes to judicial selection. Walker framed changes to family-court procedures as a constitutional concern and urged voters to support candidates who would act on these priorities.
