The La Habra Community Services Commission reviewed six standing subcommittees and approved member assignments at its June 10 meeting. The clerk read the subcommittee descriptions and time commitments for CDBG, child development, beautification, parks & museums, community wellness & social services, special events, and youth & scholarships; commissioners then volunteered and identified alternates.
A motion to adopt the subcommittee designations was made, seconded and approved in a roll-call vote recorded as 5–0. Staff reminded commissioners that Brown Act rules limit a subcommittee quorum to two members to avoid creating a serial meeting; commissioners discussed a buddy/orientation approach for the newly appointed commissioner.
