Johnson County approves $1.91 million developer-funded westbound road improvements on County Road 904

The Johnson County Commissioners Court unanimously approved a county participation agreement with Lennar Homes of Texas on July 27 to complete westbound road improvements on County Road 904 adjacent to the Wright Farms Frontier development.
Development Services Director Jennifer Vanderlin said the request completes the second half of previously approved work; Lennar will construct the westbound widening, install storm drain systems and replace signage with material and labor valued at $1,914,597.75 in Precinct 1. "If every developer would come in and improve our county roads this well, it would all be good for all of us," a commissioner said during the discussion. Commissioner Bailey moved to approve; Commissioner White seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Staff said the project has been reviewed by the county engineer and the commissioner; the county will monitor construction in the right-of-way under the agreement terms.
