Residents urge support for county fair reorganization; Kaliseum fees cited in Zoom comment

During the Sept. 18 meeting Megan Nothelfer addressed the Board to describe plans to reorganize the Kalkaska County Fair, said she will present possible bylaws and a proposed name change at the FAIR board meeting on Sept. 26, 2024, and asked for community and board support. Adrian Ray also spoke in support of assisting with the county fair.
Near the end of the meeting Zoom participant David Persons raised concerns about Kaliseum fees, and Sheriff Patrick Whiteford requested that the incoming Zoning Administrator address items at the Annex before she leaves. Other Zoom participants (Seth Phillips, James Leffew, Melanie Pauch) had no input recorded.
