Kalkaska BOCC authorizes vendor and school safety contracts
Summary
The Board authorized Chair Fisher to execute agreements with Karpel Solutions, Forest Area Community Schools and Kalkaska Public Schools for 2024–2025 law enforcement coverage, and approved an agreement with Catholic Human Services, all by unanimous roll call.
At its Sept. 18 meeting the Kalkaska County Board authorized Chair Kohn Fisher to fully execute an agreement with Karpel Solutions and approved law enforcement contracts for the 2024–2025 school year with Forest Area Community Schools and Kalkaska Public Schools. The motions were moved and carried by roll call votes with all commissioners voting yes.
The board also authorized an agreement with Catholic Human Services, Inc. “as to form” by the County Attorney; that motion passed after discussion. County Administrator David Schaeffer had presented the items as committee recommendations and staff had indicated counsel review where appropriate.
