The Kalkaska County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 18 approved Budget Amendments 2024‑0026 through 2024‑0037 and authorized Amended Post Approved Bills totaling $1,268,303.28. The board also approved General Fund bills of $179,629.07 and payroll runs: #16 $208,029.14, #17 $205,486.54 and #18 $203,067.38.
The motion to approve the budget amendments was made by Commissioner Jeff Sieting and passed on roll call. The broader bills and payroll motion, also moved by Sieting and supported by Commissioner Scott Matley, carried unanimously (7–0). The board recorded $1,050 in commissioners’ per-diem and $3,340 in commissioner salary for a $4,390 personnel payout noted in the minutes. No public opposition to these financial items was recorded at the meeting.
