Commission discusses requiring surveys for fences, defers decision; flags property-maintenance concerns in C-1 areas

Separately, during discussion of the C-1 General Commercial district Chairman Duane Urbanski said the group had been tasked with identifying property-use types that might need fences. Member Dave Borchardt said fencing alone is unlikely to solve broader property-maintenance problems. The commission did not adopt a new rule at the June 8 meeting and listed the fence/survey topic, property maintenance, and a nonconforming-property public hearing for the July meeting agenda.
