The committee spent time on elements of the village's Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP) during the June 9 meeting. Planner Karen Schmitz said she compiled values, mission statement language, goals and a park-by-park matrix summarizing site issues, opportunities and recommended actions. Those materials will guide the CORP process.
Lydia Bernhoft, environmental planner with the Bay Lake Regional Planning Commission, reported that 17 survey responses had been entered and that a majority of respondents live in Random Lake. Bernhoft said a workshop flyer has been prepared to boost outreach and participation. Committee members discussed outreach timing and agreed to promote the upcoming workshop; no planning decisions or funding allocations were made at the meeting.
