Committee reviews budget variances: unbudgeted Well 3 engineering costs and DNR response awaited on wastewater intake

The committee examined May budget-variance reports and asked for additional information and personnel at future meetings. Clerk/Treasurer Stephanie Waala said the engineering overage in the water account was due to unbudgeted expenses related to research on Well 3. Member Chuck Mueller raised the overage during the variance review.
Member Rachel Fuller asked for an update on the Wastewater Treatment Plant construction project. President Duane Urbanski reported that updates on the Krier Beverages intake have been submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the engineers are awaiting the DNR's response. Chairman Borchardt also requested that personnel from the Fire Department attend a future meeting to address questions about their accounts.
