The board approved consolidated capital facility contracts totaling about $671,000 to encumber funds before the close of the fiscal year and to move forward with sites and infrastructure work.
A district staff member summarized the package: architecture fee adjustments related to bleachers and a press box, a freezer pad and a kitchen freezer for Casa Grande funded through a kitchen infrastructure grant, and contracts for utility upgrades, cabling and roofing at Petaluma High. "This evening, we bring forward about $671,000 of contracts for our facilities funds," the staff member said.
Board members asked for more detail about the McDowell, McNear and Valley Vista electrical service upgrades and whether e‑rate or other reimbursements applied. The staff replied that the PBK architecture contract will gather cost data and that Casa Grande benefited from e‑rate reimbursement for wiring on the clock project, covering 60% of that work; staff said they will return with refined cost information.
