FIFA World Cup preparations on track; county expects major visitor and community legacy benefits

Presenters emphasized legacy investments: a countywide program of about 23 pitches (and multiple community facilities) funded or supported by FIFA-related legacy work and partnerships that officials say will increase recreational access in neighborhoods. Commissioners praised the multi-agency planning and the host committee’s engagement with county departments on safety, transportation and neighborhood impacts.
