Council approves two community commission appointments

The council approved two appointments during the July 27 meeting. The first appointment placed Alisa Bushman of the DeKalb Park District as an ex-officio member of the Citizens Environmental Commission; a motion to approve was moved and seconded and passed on roll call.
The council also appointed Andy Small to the Citizens Community Enhancement Commission for a three-year term (01/01/2026–12/31/2028). "Andy, if you don't know him, he's been involved in the community for a long, long time," the chair said after the vote. Both appointments were approved without opposition recorded on the consent roll call.
