The Daggett County Planning and Zoning board discussed legislative requirements for incorporating a Water Conservation Plan into the county’s General Plan and where the public can review existing materials. County Attorney Kent Snider said the Town of Manila plan and the 2021 Dutch John Preliminary Engineering report can be used as referenced material: "as long as it's referenced then that should suffice," he told the board.
After review, Commissioner Tamara Twitchell moved to table the item for further work; Allan Wood seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The board scheduled a work session on Feb. 17, 2026 at 5:00 PM specifically to continue discussion of the Water Conservation Plan and to address the short‑term rental ordinance draft.
