Commissioners clear road projects, OK fiber plan pending Corps approval and buy $236,318 in equipment

The board approved multiple formal items tied to Road & Bridge work: a change order to Martin Construction Inc. for CR 11 reducing the contract by $11,750.40; an amendment to HDR Engineering’s agreement for CR 11 (increase of $2,654; new not-to-exceed $712,079); a haul-route agreement with Mayo Construction Inc.; and purchases from Gooseneck for a John Deere 325G skid steer totaling $46,536.69 and a John Deere 6M 165 tractor totaling $189,781.53 (totals reflect listed discounts and trades). The commission also voted to allow Reservation Telephone Cooperative to move forward with installing fiber within the White Earth Bay right of way pending approval from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and review by the State’s Attorney.
