Traill County approves motor grader financing, ARPA-funded radios for highway fleet

Corwyn Martin, Traill County Road Superintendent, presented motor grader bids and requested permission to pursue a financing option through Butler that would spread payments over three years. On motion of Commissioner Amb, seconded by Commissioner Nesvig, the board approved the financing option.
Martin also requested approval to purchase 14 mobile radios and three handheld radios for department trucks using ARPA funds. The board voted to approve the radio purchases. Martin provided an update that flex funding to remove Bridge 232 has been approved; other projects remain pending state responses.
The board recorded the approvals as routine county equipment and infrastructure actions and did not set additional conditions in the minutes. Follow-up will come from the Highway Department on procurement details and financing terms.
