Mountrail County commissioners on Feb. 20 approved the purchase of a new tanker pumper for the Stanley Fire Department totaling $460,379. Aaron Skarsgaard of the Stanley Rural Fire Department presented the quote and the board voted unanimously to fund the purchase from the Fire & Ambulance Fund.
Skarsgaard thanked the board for past support during his presentation. The motion to approve the purchase was moved by Commissioner John DeGroot and seconded by Commissioner Joan Hollekim; all five commissioners recorded yes votes. The purchase was placed on the county record with standard procurement documentation and will be funded from the Fire & Ambulance Fund.
