County approves year-end budget amendments and deputy auditor title and pay change

Auditor Glenda Haugen presented year-end budget items and recommended amendments to reconcile funds. The commission approved allowing the Auditor to reimburse the Emergency Fund from Highway cash on hand and to replenish the Veterans Service Officer (VSO) fund with General Fund cash on hand; commissioners then approved the budget amendments as presented.
Auditor Heather Hovey told the board she will be out of the office for one week in February and asked that Deputy Auditor Michele Jacobs take minutes for the Feb. 17 meeting. Hovey also requested approval to adjust Michele Jacobs’ title and salary to match Chief Deputy Auditor Megan Kleckner, who will be leaving this summer. On a motion by Commissioner Eblen, seconded by Commissioner Young, the commission approved the title and salary change for Jacobs.
