Temecula Valley Unified said it is installing new scoreboards at Chaparral and Temecula Valley High School and constructing multiple shade structures this summer to improve comfort for students and spectators.
"We have a new scoreboard going in there. We have a new scoreboard going in at Temecula Valley High School as well. And we have a shade structure going up at Bella Vista Middle School," Casper said, also noting two additional shade structures planned for Temecula Valley High School.
Officials framed the work as targeted improvements that will help campuses cope with high temperatures while supporting school athletics and outdoor activities.
