The Economic Development Authority of Charles City County adopted updated bylaws and a 2026 meeting schedule at its Jan. 8 regular meeting, changing the Authority’s regular meetings from quarterly to monthly on the first Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Cynthia Boone, Director, read Resolution No. 2026-1 and Resolution No. 2026-2 proposing the change and the schedule.
Board members approved the bylaws and schedule unanimously. Travis Johnston flagged a typographical issue in Article I, paragraph 4 concerning the posting timeline; Ms. Boone said the language originated from an earlier edit and the final copy will reflect the correct three-working-day posting requirement. The resolutions take effect immediately, and the Board authorized the chair and staff to implement the changes.
