The board discussed the Jan. 20 City of Stanley water outage and how to handle employee time missed because of the emergency. State's Attorney Wade Enget referenced Employee Handbook Policy 519 on inclement weather and emergency closings; Chairman Ruland noted department heads could flex missed time.
Recorder Melissa Vachal said she had sent her employees home during the outage. The board then moved to approve up to three hours of paid leave for employees who were absent due to the water outage; the motion passed unanimously.
