Library and Friends weigh off-site storage as Harry Potter closet fills

"The Harry Potter closet ... is impossibly, not only is it small, but the shape of it is just the weirdest," a Friends representative said, and the board discussed expanding the book-sale 'fill a bag' approach and exploring donated storage or partners to host overflow items. Members noted the Friends already use donated canvas bags for sales and that the closet contains program supplies, extra shelving and displays, and books intended for future sales.
Board members asked staff to notify the Friends' executive board when storage becomes full and to consider whether the Friends should retain space for sorting and storage in library facilities or pursue off-site options.
