Board approves moving amendments to Special Use Permit rules to public hearing

On July 8 staff proposed edits to Article 9.6.A (Special Use Permits) intended to clarify process responsibilities and deadlines. Ms. Donna Sullivan outlined the suggested changes: add the word "Planning" before "Board" where public hearings are referenced, remove the requirement for review by the Health Officer, change the application deadline from 30 days to 21 days, and add the words "Planning Board's" before "public hearing" in the last sentence.
Scott Severn moved to approve the proposed amendments to 9.6.A and forward them to public hearing; Glenn Huot seconded. The motion carried 5-0-0. The Board did not amend the text further at the meeting; staff will post the proposed changes and schedule the public hearing per statutory notice requirements.
