The Planning Board reviewed remaining split-zone properties on July 8 and considered whether new single-zone designations were appropriate, using street access, predominant use, topography and satellite imagery as criteria.
Staff presented a list of Map/Lot entries and proposed zones—examples included multiple Robie Road parcels proposed to be designated Industrial (I) and several Summer Street and Nyberg Road parcels proposed for Corridor Commercial (CC) or Rural (R) designation. Town Administrator Christina Goodwin cautioned the Board against overly specific site-selection criteria to avoid spot-zoning concerns; the Board noted that grandfathering for existing uses would apply where appropriate.
Vice Chair David Shirley asked that the third paragraph of the notice letter to affected property owners replace the word "corrected" with "changed." Ms. Donna Sullivan will update the map and the draft notices and bring the revised documents back to the Planning Board for a formal vote at the next meeting.
