Scott Dorian, owner of Scott’s Suds & Soft Wash, presented a Business Growth Grant proposal to diversify his pressure-washing business by adding Christmas-light installation services. In a video and oral presentation, Dorian outlined a process of consultation, custom preparation of lights, installation beginning in late October or early November, and post-season removal and storage if requested. He estimated initial pricing beginning at $1,200 for the first 100 feet and showed examples from local installations.
Dorian said the expansion could create one to two additional jobs and highlighted responsive maintenance practices: he pledged to respond within 24–48 hours to replace a failed bulb or strand at no cost. Board members asked about year-round options for certain light products and equipment needs; Dorian said some epoxy-filled mini lights can remain up year-round and described the "King of String Lights" product as a premium, permanent option subject to supplier pricing.
