Staff estimated the preliminary cost at approximately $410,000 and said the project would most likely be advanced when the trail next requires resurfacing so the work can follow the city’s 'one‑build' philosophy. Councilors raised questions about where pickleball users would park if on‑street spaces were removed; staff estimated a loss of four to six parking spaces and said users would likely park farther into the neighborhood or in main lots. Council directed staff to continue community outreach and weigh tradeoffs between parking and safety improvements.
