North Salt Lake planners approved a site plan for an accessory storage structure to support Bunnell Incorporated's commercial operations at 330 North Cutler Drive.
Staff (Mackenzie) described the new accessory structure as approximately 8,400 square feet, located behind existing buildings and set back 44 feet from Redwood Road, with a height of 38.5 feet to the roof peak and 40 feet to the parapet. She told the commission, "The new accessory structure will be approximately 8,400 square feet in size" and explained that the building materials—white and gray metal panels with a four‑foot wainscoting—meet the city's accessory-structure requirements provided the wainscoting matches the primary structure.
Staff noted the project will disturb about 31,000 square feet of property surface overall, will remove some parking stalls but remain overparked for its current use, and includes landscaping and irrigation changes to meet water-wise requirements. Commissioners questioned landscape buffers and the possibility of fencing; staff said no fencing is planned along Redwood Road and suggested landscaping improvements could be requested but were not conditions of approval. The commission approved the site plan with standard staff conditions: correction of red-line comments and recording the plat combining the two parcels prior to issuance of a certificate of occupancy.
Next steps: staff will track red-line corrections and the plat recordation before issuing the CO.
