The Rolette County Board of Commissioners voted Feb. 20 to accept a cost-share grant through North Dakota Game and Fish to install a vaulted toilet at Carpenter Lake. Steve Mcatee of the Park Board presented the request and told the board the project is projected to cost about $15,000, with a 25/75 split; the Park Board’s 25% share is roughly $3,750 and is budgeted.
Commissioner LaRocque moved to accept the grant with the county providing the full $15,000 up front and receiving the 75% reimbursement from ND Game and Fish; Commissioner Zaste seconded and the motion carried unanimously on roll-call vote. The board recorded no further conditions; Mcatee indicated the Park Board will proceed with the cost-share arrangement and reimbursements as outlined.
