Board reallocates Ho-Chunk funds after grant reduced original need; remaining funds returned to pool

The Vernon County Board on Nov. 12 adopted Resolution 2024-54 to reallocate previously committed funds received from the Ho-Chunk Nation. Administrative Coordinator Cassie Hanan presented the request, explaining that the Land Information Office secured a grant that covered part of the digital ortho imagery expense and that $70,028.15 remained unspent from the original allocation.
The Land Information Office requested reallocation of $30,225.00 of the unspent funds as follows: $19,750.00 for an ArcGIS Image Server perpetual license (up to four cores), $475.00 for ProWest legal description courses, and $10,000.00 for WLIP – SI (DOPs). The resolution directs that the remaining $39,803.15 of the unspent Ho-Chunk funds be returned to the unallocated pool.
Supervisor Pedretti moved and Supervisor Stanek seconded the motion to adopt the resolution; the Board approved it on a voice vote. The resolution will return to the Board because it amends the budget.
