The Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors convened a public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2027 tax levy at the courthouse in Emmetsburg on March 31, 2026. Chair Linus Solberg called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m., led the Pledge of Allegiance and opened the hearing, with Supervisors Keith Wirtz, Ronald Graettinger, Craig Merrill and Roger Faulstick present alongside County Attorney Anne Quail and County Auditor Carmen Moser.
Auditor Carmen Moser explained the budget statements required by HF718 and supplied copies of the proposed tax levy to the board and the public record.
