The Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors voted on Feb. 17, 2026, to hire Morgan Armstrong as a jailer/dispatcher at a starting wage of $21.97 per hour, effective that day. The motion passed unanimously.
The board recorded that, after a six-month probationary period and successful completion of either a 40-hour jail certification or a 40-hour dispatch certification, Armstrong's pay will be increased to the same level as the other jailers and dispatchers. The motion was moved by Ron Graettinger and seconded by Keith Wirtz; no dissenting votes were recorded.
