Sheriff Dalton Downing told the Board that of an opening total of $261,505.64 in distress warrants, his office has collected the majority and that $13,966.54 remains uncollected. The report was accepted and placed on the record.
The Board then worked on the county budget with assistance from Dan Miller, CPA. Commissioner Randy Dean moved, and Commissioner Charles Fritsche seconded, to enter executive session 'for the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual'; the Board subsequently exited executive session. After returning to open session, the Board allowed detailed claims across multiple funds, which are recorded in the minutes.
