The Milwaukee Common Council adopted two unfinished-business items authorizing zoning changes and a project plan for a new multifamily development branded Cudahy Farms in the 9th Aldermanic District.
The first file was a substitute ordinance to change the zoning of land identified as the former John C. Cudahy YMCA Youth and Family Center site at 9050 North Swan Road to permit a new detailed plan development called Cudahy Farms. Alderman Deandre Jackson moved adoption; after recorded abstentions and a no vote, the motion carried and the file was adopted.
The council then adopted a resolution approving a project plan and a development agreement to create Tax Incremental District Number 122, known as Cudahy Farms, in the same district. That resolution had been held at the prior meeting and returned as unfinished business; the roll call recorded 10 ayes and the file was adopted.
Both actions were taken as unfinished business the council had held at its prior meeting. Council members recorded their positions during the roll calls; the clerk recorded the final counts in the public minutes. The decisions authorize the city to proceed under the terms in the substitute ordinance and the development agreement, including any conditions noted in the project plan and agreement.
