The Mountrail County Commissioners awarded the Structure Replacement for Cottonwood Bridge No. 31‑114‑08.0 to Martin Construction for $345,179.42 on Feb. 4. The motion was moved by Commissioner John DeGroot, seconded by Commissioner Wayne Olson and passed unanimously.
Road & Bridge staff also received approval to advertise for chip sealing of 43.6 miles covering County Road 6, the Truck Bypass, CR9, CR3, CR12, 41st Ave NW, 36th St NW and the South Complex parking lot; advertise March bid lettings for culverts, cutting edges, loading and hauling of gravel, aggregate crushing and stockpiling, sub‑grade repairs and dust control product; approve 2025 spring (Frost Law) load restrictions; and advertise requests for 3 new motor graders. Those motions passed with unanimous roll calls. The board recorded that concrete drainage work for the South Complex parking lot will be discussed at a later date.
