Renville County commissioners voted to include $20,000 in their 2027 budget for the Minot Domestic Violence Crisis Center (Minot DVCC) after representatives from the center briefed the board on services delivered to county residents over the past year. The funding motion was moved by Commissioner Andy Gates and seconded by Commissioner Jamee Hansen and carried by unanimous aye.
Jill McDonald and Rene Duckett of the Minot DVCC met with the board to outline the center’s work with Renville County clients and asked for county support for 2027. The board recorded the approval as part of its regular business and directed the auditor to include the allocation in the next budget documents. The meeting record shows the request and approval occurred during the June 2 session.
