Staff presented Project BlueHub during a public hearing under Texas Local Government Code section 505.159 and reported the project's preliminary scope and economic metrics.
Chaney Gamboa (S6) described the proposal as "an approximate 1,300,000 square foot, manufacturing, research and development, warehouse and logistics project" that "plans to bring approximately 2,000 jobs, within the next 5 years" and indicated an average salary of "$88,000, annually" for full-time equivalents. She also stated capital investment was "over 650,000,000" though that figure was presented as a staff note and not adopted as a final contractual term.
The Chair opened the hearing, invited public comment, received none and promptly closed the public hearing. No incentive agreement or economic performance agreement for BlueHub was approved or adopted at this meeting; the staff later confirmed there would be no action on the related resolution at this session. The presentation served as an informational step in the Corporation's statutory public-notice process for incentive consideration.
