County IT to move meetings to Webex, install new phone system and post recordings when possible

Bernie Solomon, Floyd County IT Director, updated the board on Jan. 6 that the county is implementing a new phone system and plans to sell the older equipment. Solomon said remaining Windows 10 machines are being replaced as part of ongoing IT work.
Solomon also told Supervisors that meetings will transition to Webex calls and that phone numbers, access codes, and passwords will be included on meeting agendas; video or audio recordings will continue to be posted to YouTube when possible. Supervisor Gloria Carr asked specifically about board room technology during the update.
