County engineer details bridge removals, retirement and road work in Secondary Roads update

Miller reported the department received notice of Dennis Begemann’s retirement; the county will post the vacancy for 10 days. He also said the Iowa Department of Transportation determined the 130th Street bridges are not eligible for historic status and that removal is planned this month. These project and staffing updates were entered into the minutes without additional board debate in the transcript.
